Born in Brixton, England, David Robert Jones also known as David Bowie was the iconic English singer, songwriter, painter, and actor, the genre-gender-bending performer whose persistent innovations and personal reinventions transformed him into a number of alter egos. He was a multi-talented musical genius who ruled the music industry for over five decades. As a visual artist he pushed the boundaries with his provocative style and fashion. With his driven passion to create, he wrote some of the most well-written songs and lyrics the world has ever known. He sold an estimated 140 million records worldwide. He was awarded nine platinum album certifications, eleven gold and eight silver, and released ten number-one albums in the UK. In the US, he received five platinum and seven gold certifications. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996.
He remained musically active until his death on January 10, 2016 at the age of 69 just two days after the release of the beautiful and darkest final album, Blackstar. WE LOVE YOU DAVIE BOWIE ! YOU WILL TRULY BE MISSED !
Thank you for your continued support and see you there !
